This branding project was for a clothing & apparel company down in Biloxi, Mississippi. It was a creative and rewarding challenge to conceptualize a design that combined the beach way of life with sewing elements that complement each other in a natural way to achieve the right concept. I love these types of branding challenges, and was honored when Lori Bennett Booth chose me to design it.

Option 1
Needle Sun Design
This design ended up being the one chosen. It works so well because of its simplicity. The round shape of sunshine with a sewing needle fitted through a typeface where the letter S resembles fishing hooks.
Option 2
Needle Beach Button Design
This beach-themed concept combined the button and needle with a relaxing
day-in-the-sun scene.

Option 3
Nautical Compass Needle Button Design
This nautical design combined a compass needle and sewing needle for a playful "Out to Sea" look. This was my personal favorite.
Option 4
Thimble Needle Sand Design
Perhaps a bit ambitious, this idea attempted to incorporate a thimble doubling as a bucket and sand at the beach. The idea might have been too complex to serve as a simple logo, but it definetely got the creative juices flowing.
